Job Description

Cortez Foot & Ankle Specialists, a division of US Foot & Ankle Specialists, is seeking a dependable and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our podiatry clinic. This role focuses on hands-on patient care and assisting with in-office procedures in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

  • No weekends
  • Hands-on training provided
  • Stable, outpatient clinic setting

Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): 

  • Room patients, take vital signs, and update medical history in EMR
  • Assist physicians with procedures including wound care, injections, and post-op care
  • Perform digital X-rays and assist with podiatric services (nail care, diabetic shoe fittings)
  • Apply dressings, strappings, and durable medical equipment (DME)
  • Process lab specimens, prescriptions, and insurance verifications
  • Answer patient questions, schedule appointments, and support front desk as needed
  • Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize instruments

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Medical Assistant program completion or 1+ year of clinical experience
  • CMA or RMA preferred
  • Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient clinic
