Essential Job Functions: - Facilitate high-quality patient care under the supervision and direction of the provider.- Verify patient information by interviewing patients, documenting medical histories, confirming the reason for the visit, and reconciling medication lists.- Prepare patients for examination by obtaining vital signs, performing preliminary assessments, and conducting basic clinical tests.- Maintain patient confidentiality by accurately completing, securing, and safeguarding medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.- Assist providers with examinations, office procedures, injections, and other clinical tasks as directed.- Triage incoming patient calls, review messages with providers, and respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries.- Communicate laboratory results, diagnostic findings, and provider instructions to patients while addressing questions within scope of practice.- Schedule referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments; process prescription requests according to provider instructions.- Coordinate with insurance companies, pharmacies, and other healthcare organizations, including obtaining prior authorizations when required.- Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and staff to achieve departmental and organizational goals.- Maintain current CPR certification and any other required credentials.- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:- Completion of and certification from an accredited Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.- Current CPR certification, or the ability to obtain certification within four months of hire.- Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.- Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR), along with strong telephone, verbal, and written communication skills.- Excellent customer service skills with strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.- Self-motivated, dependable team player with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining accuracy and productivity in a fast-paced clinical environment.- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and compassionately with patients, providers, and coworkers.- Previous medical office or clinical experience is preferred but not required.- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
