Position Overview
MAT Care Clinics is reposting this position as a Medical Assistant / Lab Technician hybrid role. The primary responsibilities of this position are Medical Assistant and Laboratory support functions, with additional cross-training in select clinical & administrative support roles to ensure continuity of care and operational coverage across the clinic.
This role is ideal for a candidate who is SUDS & MAT grounded and willing to flex into other support functions as needed to meet clinic and provider needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Medical Assistant
- Support providers with patient intake, vitals, clinical documentation, and patient flow
- Assist with clinical procedures and medication administration within scope
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR
Laboratory Technician (Primary)
- Collect, label, and process laboratory specimens in accordance with protocol
- Perform CLIA-waived testing & Moderate level testing as trained and authorized
- Maintain laboratory logs, quality controls, and supply inventory
Cross-Trained Support Functions
The employee will be cross trained to provide coverage in the following areas to support clinic and provider operations:
- Float Medical Assistant coverage for Nashua & Manchester locations
- Front Desk backup support (PRN)
- Biofeedback Technician support
- TMS Technician support
Qualifications
- Comfortability serving with SUDs clients; experience preferred
- Prior laboratory or specimen collection experience strongly preferred
- Willingness to complete cross-training in additional clinical support roles
- Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
