SUMMARY: Provides direct patient care in the clinical setting. Communicates with physicians, nurses and other staff about patients’ clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in conditions of response to treatment. Assists Physician with examination and treatment of patients. Check vitals, i.e. height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure of each patient, assists with patients' medical histories laboratory tests and applies bandages. May instruct patient regarding home treatment and perform other administrative tasks such as medical records, bookkeeping, and answering phones. Avoids supply waste & is cost effective.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Six months nursing experience in a clinical setting preferred.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Current Texas LVN or RN license or Medical Assistant Certification
current CPR certification required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of accreditation process also necessary.
