Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant with Allergy Experience to join our busy medical practice. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hands-on experience in allergy testing and immunotherapy vial mixing, and will play a vital role in delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities
Perform allergy skin testing (prick and intradermal) per provider orders
Prepare and mix allergy immunotherapy vials in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines
Administer allergy injections under provider supervision
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately
Accurately document testing results, treatments, and patient responses in the EHR
Educate patients on allergy treatment plans, injection schedules, and aftercare
Maintain inventory of allergy supplies and ensure proper storage and labeling
Follow infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelines at all times
Assist with general clinical duties including rooming patients, taking vitals, and phlebotomy (if applicable)
Qualifications
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA preferred)
Minimum of 1 year experience in allergy testing and immunotherapy vial mixing (required)
Knowledge of allergy protocols, dosing schedules, and emergency response procedures
Experience administering injections and monitoring for reactions
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
