Job Title: Medical Billing SpecialistLocation: Ramsey, MN (Fully Remote)Compensation: $22.00 per hour – paid weeklySchedule: All shifts availableJob Type: Temp / ContractAbout the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading services provider in Ramsey, MN to hire Medical Billing Specialists for fully remote opportunities. In this role, you’ll support accurate claim submission, payment review, and insurance communication to ensure timely reimbursement. Review patient account balances for accuracy and completeness
Submit claims promptly through appropriate billing channels
Identify issues from explanations of benefits (EOBs) and denials
Verify insurance payments for accuracy and contract compliance
Contact insurance companies to resolve payment discrepancies
Identify and bill primary and secondary insurances
Respond to insurance-related phone inquiries
Conduct status checks with insurance companies and determine appeal eligibility
Document all account activities thoroughly
Complete assigned work queues and tasks daily
Communicate trends or issues to leadership

What You Need to Bring to the Medical Billing Specialist Role:

High school diploma or GED
2+ years of experience in clearinghouse or denial management, with billing background
Ability to interpret business publications, regulations, and technical procedures
Strong math skills including discounts, percentages, and proportions
Knowledge of database software
Reliable technology and remote-work readiness (quiet workspace, stable internet)
