JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Provide assistance and coordination of activities related to the office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists the medical office assistant and medical providers in the office.
• Keep physician/ARNP offices organized and stocked with necessary forms, prescription paper and collect shredding.
• Receive incoming lab work and medication request and forward to the appropriate provider for review.
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries from internal and external parties, perform data entry and prepare reports.
• Ensure customers are greeted and assisted in a timely manner. 
• Maintains and monitors appointment scheduling.
• Maintains and monitors receipt of payments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
• Use of office equipment such as computers, fax machine and copier. 
• Great customer service skills and phone etiquette.
• Ability to take vital signs i.e. blood pressure, temperature, height, weight. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level              

Hiigh school diploma or GED required.

Years of Experience       

One year experience in a mental health setting required. College courses may be substituted for experience.
