Position Summary:

Generates treatment plans and dose calculations based on prescribed care plan. Works under the general direction of the physicist.

What you will do:

• Prepares computerized treatment plans.
• Calculates treatment times and monitor units for different therapeutic machines.
• Performs dosimetry checks on treatment charts.
• Assists in taking patient contours or other relevant patient measurements, obtaining patient data needed for planning and calculation.
• Assists in the set-up of complex treatments, both in the simulation room and treatment room.
• Works closely with and under the direction of medical physicists

What you will need:

• Associate degree in a related field.
• Certification by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board and current license maintained.
• Certification or re-certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire, as well as maintain ongoing recertification.
• One year of dosimetry experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
