What you bring to the table

Beck is looking for a qualified Medical Equipment Planning Coordinator II to join an extraordinary project team. As an experienced Medical Equipment Planning Coordinator, you will support the design, planning, and execution of healthcare projects by assisting in the development of medical equipment lists and working closely with the design team to coordinate placement plans, specifications, procurement, delivery, and in-room placement of medical equipment. You will work closely with project managers, architects, vendors, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive equipment planning solutions tailored to client needs.

This position would be hybrid with the ability to work 2-3 days in office in either Dallas, Ft. Worth, Atlanta, Raleigh, Fort Lauderdale, or Tampa. Travel expectations would include local/regional and occasional travel to other states depending on project needs.

The job involves the following essential functions:

  • Assist in the medical equipment planning process for healthcare projects, from initial concept through installation
  • Collaborate with design teams, healthcare providers, and manufacturers to ensure equipment meets clinical and operational requirements
  • Help develop and maintain equipment schedules, specifications, and budgets aligned with project goals and regulatory standards
  • Support architects and designers in integrating medical equipment requirements into project layouts and documentation
  • Conduct site assessments and coordinate with contractors to ensure proper utilities, clearances, and installation requirements are observed for medical equipment
  • Partner with manufacturers and vendors to obtain up-to-date information on medical equipment models, features, and advancements
  • Assist in procurement processes, including equipment selection, cost analysis, and vendor negotiations
  • Coordinate installation, ensuring all medical equipment is delivered, installed, and commissioned according to schedule and specifications
  • Lead project calls, vendor coordination calls, and procurement status calls, and provide written agendas, notes, and manage email communications
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in medical equipment planning to inform project design and execution
  • Participate in professional development to expand knowledge and project experience in healthcare

You also meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Architecture, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in medical equipment planning for healthcare projects. Capability to demonstrate equipment knowledge for most routine inpatient and outpatient clinical areas (2 years). Testing and proficiency will be part of the screening process
  • Basic knowledge of medical equipment systems, utilities coordination, and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
  • Experience with on-site logistics and installation of medical equipment is a plus
  • Experience utilizing medical equipment planning software such as Attainia Plan-IT, Revalize, or Four Tower is preferred. Other systems such as Four Tower or EquipWare are applicable; training in Attainia would be provided
  • Excellent organizational skills, initiative, and demonstrated success managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Coordinators are expected to lead project calls, vendor coordination calls, procurement status calls, and provide written agendas, notes, and manage email communications
  • Familiarity with software programs such as Revit, Bluebeam, Matterport, Workday, PM Web, Owner Insite, E-Builder, Procore, etc. is a plus

Physical Demands:

Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity equipment; occasionally ascends/descends ladders and stairs; may visit active construction or healthcare project sites; occasionally moves equipment and materials up to 50 lbs; constantly communicates with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders; may move throughout project sites as needed; ability to adhere to consistent and timely attendance.
