Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with medical tasks as needed
- Maintain a professional manner when interacting with patients, physicians, and colleagues
- Schedule, verify, and confirm patient appointments
- Adjust patient appointments in cases of schedule changes
- Pre-register new patients over the phone
- Ensure proficiency in utilizing practice EMR and billing software
- Verify patient insurance eligibility before services are provided
- Handle prior authorizations and pre-certifications for medical procedures
- Manage incoming faxes and e-faxes, distributing them appropriately
- Organize medical records from hospitals and specialists for physician review
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality
- Perform any additional duties as assigned
