  • Shift: Night 4x10-Hour (21:00 – 07:30)
  • Hours/Week: 40 hours/week

  • Certifications: ASCP-MLS or ACP-BB required
  • Experience: Prior laboratory testing experience preferred

What You’ll Do
  • Perform routine and specialized blood bank testing such as ABO/Rh typing, antibody screens, and crossmatching
  • Prepare blood components for transfusions for both pediatric and adult patients
  • Conduct compatibility testing including electronic crossmatch and indirect Coombs tests
  • Assist in specimen processing and documentation
  • Support transfusion services across multiple specialty units
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced laboratory environment
What You NeedRequired:
  • Current ASCP-MLS or ACP-BB certification
  • Experience with specimen processing and blood bank testing
  • Ability to float between Methodist, University, and Riley hospitals
  • Willingness to work night shift and every other weekend, with holiday coverage as required
Preferred:
  • Prior experience in a high-volume blood bank setting
  • Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
About the AssignmentThis position is based at a busy blood bank supporting transfusion needs for a variety of clinical services. You will receive initial training and orientation on day shift before transitioning to the night shift.
