This critical position provides an opportunity to work in advanced laboratory settings, specializing in blood bank procedures within a trauma environment, ensuring accurate and timely diagnostics.Overview: We are seeking experienced Medical Lab Technicians with a strong background in blood bank work to support our busy trauma laboratory. This role offers the chance to operate during night shifts on a 7on/7off schedule, contributing to life-saving diagnostics in a high-pressure setting. Your skill set will be vital in delivering precise laboratory results that impact patient outcomes.Required Skills:

• Prior experience in blood bank procedures in a clinical laboratory setting
• Proficiency with hematology, immunohematology, and blood bank techniques
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance processes
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-volume environment
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
• Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and automation

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in trauma or emergency healthcare environments
• Additional certifications such as ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology)
• Knowledge of hospital-specific laboratory information systems (LIS)
• Capabilities in troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation

Preferred Education and Experience:

• AS or BS degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience, with specific blood bank expertise

Other Requirements:

• Valid Medical Laboratory Technician license or certification
• Ability to work night shifts (19:00 – 07:00) on a 7on/7off schedule
• Willingness to travel or receive travel-related reimbursements if applicable
• Commitment to maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards
