Are you a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist who thrives on accuracy, critical thinking, and making a real impact behind the scenes of patient care? Join our Laboratory Services team and play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic results that physicians and patients rely on every day.
Why This Role Matters
As a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP), you'll perform moderate- and high-complexity testing across the full laboratory workflow-pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic. Your expertise ensures timely, reliable results while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do
- Perform authorized moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing in accordance with CLIA regulations
- Execute testing accurately and efficiently following established laboratory and hospital procedures
- Handle specimens, analyze results, and ensure accurate reporting and documentation
- Perform and document quality control activities, calibrations, maintenance, and proficiency testing
- Identify testing issues, troubleshoot problems, and take corrective action or escalate as needed
- Maintain compliance when test systems fall outside acceptable performance ranges
- Demonstrate consistent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Communicate clearly and professionally with laboratory leadership and team members
- Work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions when leadership is unavailable
- Adhere to all safety protocols and promote a safe, compliant laboratory environment
What We're Looking For
Education
Bachelor's degree and successful completion of a Medical Technology program which is accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA), or Bachelor's of Science degree in a laboratory related science such as Biology or Chemistry and equivalent training, education, and experience (such as military).
Experience
- Minimum of one year of full-time clinical laboratory experience.
Certification
- ASCP, AMT, or equivalent nationally recognized Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist certification required
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and testing methodologies
- Experience with LIS and basic computer applications
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
