Job Description
The purpose of the staff MLS position is to perform procedures in all sections of the laboratory when working weekends or alone. May be assigned special duties in addition to staff MLS duties, and assume responsibility of a section when the supervisor is absent.
This position requires a highly trained, specialized individual who has the ability to work under stress in a variety of situations. The staff MLS works closely with patients including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric age groups, the Pathologist, office staff, physicians, nursing service, and other laboratory and hospital personnel. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The incumbent has access to sensitive, confidential information and must be able to maintain those confidences. The incumbent establishes the work procedures and priorities within imposed deadlines.

The MLT works closely with patients, the pathologist, office staff, physicians, nursing service, and other laboratory and hospital personnel. Compensation
The pay range for the MLT position is $26.40-$33.79/hour. The pay range for the MLS position is $30.52-$41.09/hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.
