  • ________________________________________The RoleClinical Responsibilities (65% of time)
  • As a Radiation Physics Medical Physicist, you will be the backbone of our clinical physics program:Consult with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists on treatment planning and clinical problem-solving
  •     Perform comprehensive patient-specific dose calculations and treatment plan verification for all assigned patientsConduct weekly quality assurance checks on dose calculations and treatment plans
  •     Lead quality assurance programs for all radiation-producing equipment, performing routine calibrations, safety checks, and performance testingPerform specialized dosimetry for advanced treatment techniques including IMRT/VMAT QA, brachytherapy, and in-vivo dosimetry
  •     Ensure compliance with all radiation safety standards and regulatory requirementsSupport cutting-edge clinical applications and special proceduresClinical Development (20% of time)
  • Drive innovation and excellence in clinical physics:Participate in selection, evaluation, and acceptance testing of new radiation therapy equipment
  •     Lead commissioning and implementation of new radiotherapy technologiesDevelop and validate new clinical procedures for treatment planning and delivery
  •     Provide clinical support for pilot programs before general clinical releaseStay at the forefront of radiotherapy physics with emerging technologiesEducation & Mentorship (10% of time)
  • Shape the next generation of medical physicists:Mentor and teach CAMPEP-accredited medical physics residents in the clinical physics program
  •     Provide instruction to graduate students during clinical rotationsContribute to curriculum development and course instruction
  •     Demonstrate excellence as a clinical role model and trusted advisorProfessional Development (5% of time)
  • Maintain your expertise and grow professionally:Pursue continuing education and maintain board certification
  •     Share knowledge through in-services, journal club presentations, and trainingEngage with national professional societies and organizations
  •     Stay current with advances in radiation physics
  • ________________________________________Required QualificationsMaster's Degree (MS) in Therapeutic Radiological Physics from an AAPM/CAMPEP-accredited program
  •     Board Certified or Board Eligible in Therapeutic Radiological Physics (ABR or ABMP)Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in radiation physics
  •     Excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to function effectively in a collaborative team environmentPreferred Qualifications
  •     Experience with diverse radiation therapy modalities (conventional, IMRT, VMAT, brachytherapy, SBRT)Familiarity with advanced treatment planning systems and dose calculation algorithms
  •     Experience mentoring residents or graduate studentsKnowledge of radiation safety and regulatory compliance
  •     Enthusiasm for teaching and professional development
