Job Description

💎 Who is the Medical Quality Assurance Tester?

The Medical Quality Assurance Tester is a detail-oriented professional who understands the unique compliance requirements that come with marketing and advertising in the healthcare and medical device space. You’ll help ensure the digital marketing work we deliver is accurate, compliant, and thoroughly reviewed before it reaches the client.

You’ll provide an additional layer of quality assurance across digital marketing deliverables, including websites, landing pages, email campaigns, paid media, social media, and other digital content. From identifying potential compliance issues and reviewing product claims, disclosures, and medical terminology to catching inconsistencies and other errors, you’ll help our teams deliver work that meets regulatory requirements and client expectations.

If you have experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical device compliance, understand the digital marketing and advertising landscape, and have a talent for catching the details others might miss, this might be the perfect opportunity for you.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Review healthcare and medical device digital marketing and advertising materials for accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews across websites, landing pages, email campaigns, paid media, social media, display advertising, and other digital deliverables.
  • Identify potential regulatory, compliance, medical accuracy, and quality concerns before work is delivered to the client.
  • Review product claims, medical terminology, disclosures, references, disclaimers, and promotional messaging for accuracy and appropriate use.
  • Ensure digital marketing materials align with approved product information, applicable regulatory requirements, client guidelines, and brand standards.
  • Flag unsupported, inaccurate, inconsistent, or potentially non-compliant content and clearly communicate recommended corrections.
  • Review digital experiences for consistency across copy, creative, links, calls to action, disclosures, and supporting content.
  • Collaborate with account, creative, copy, media, strategy, and project management teams to address issues before client delivery.
  • Help strengthen internal quality assurance processes, review checklists, and standards to reduce preventable errors across client work.

📚 What do You Need?

  • 3+ years of experience in medical regulatory compliance, quality assurance, compliance testing, medical review, digital marketing compliance, or a related field within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices.
  • Experience reviewing digital marketing, advertising, or promotional materials.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including websites, landing pages, email marketing, paid media, social media, and digital advertising.
  • Familiarity with healthcare and medical advertising regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience reviewing medical device or surgical product marketing materials strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with FDA requirements and promotional standards related to healthcare or medical device marketing.
  • Experience with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review processes is a plus.
  • Experience working within a digital marketing, advertising, or creative agency environment is preferred.
  • Strong proofreading and quality assurance skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify compliance concerns, inaccurate claims, inconsistencies, missing information, and other errors before client delivery.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to clearly explain findings and recommended corrections.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple reviews, and provide timely feedback in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to support projects on a freelance/as-needed basis.

Important note: if you think you have what it takes to be a great in this role but don't necessarily meet all of these qualifications, please still apply! While we work hard to eliminate unnecessary requirements from our job ads, our teams and needs are constantly evolving, and we'd always love the opportunity to connect and see what might be a fit.
