Job Description
HIM Scan TechnicianFarmington, CT | J. Morrissey6-Month Contract | 1st & 2nd Shifts AvailableStarting Pay: Approximately $20/hourJ. Morrissey is seeking a HIM Scan Technician to support a healthcare organization in Farmington, CT. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with electronic medical records, and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Schedule
- 1st Shift: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM*
- 2nd Shift: MondayFriday, 3:00 PM11:30 PM*
- 6-month contract
- Starting pay around $20/hour
- Prepare patient charts and medical records for scanning*
- Scan and digitize medical records into electronic systems*
- Index documents accurately within the electronic medical record*
- Perform quality control checks to ensure records are complete and legible*
- Maintain and organize medical records*
- Ensure documents are properly assigned and stored*
- Follow established HIM and document-management procedures*
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
- High School Diploma or GED*
- Basic computer knowledge*
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems*
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy*
- Ability to work independently and manage repetitive tasks*
- Healthcare or medical records experience is a plus
