• Start Date: 10/19/2026 (multiple orientation dates available)
• End Date/Duration: 04/19/2027 (longer contracts preferred)
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend rotation
• Hours/week: 36 hours guaranteed
• Employment Type: Contract
• Certifications: AHA BLS required; KS or multistate license (no hits allowed)
• Experience: Minimum 1-year medical-surgical experience; step-down experience is a plus

What You’ll Do:

• Provide expert nursing care for post-surgical patients on a 32-bed unit specializing in abdominal and colorectal surgeries
• Monitor patient recovery following procedures such as colectomies, bowel resections, and hernia repairs
• Support urological and orthopedic post-operative patients, including those with kidney stones and amputations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning
• Float to other surgical and medical floors as needed

What You Need:

• Valid RN license in Kansas or multi-state licensure
• Minimum 1-year medical-surgical experience
• BLS certification from AHA
• Strong clinical skills in surgical patient care
• Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to unit needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
