  • Shift: 12-Hour Shifts, Every Other Weekend
  • Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed
  • Employment Type: Contract
  • Certifications: AHA BLS required
  • License: KS or Multistate license (No hits allowed)
  • Experience: Minimum 1-year Medical Surgical experience; step-down or progressive care experience preferred

What You’ll Do
  • Provide compassionate nursing care to patients post-abdominal/colorectal surgeries
  • Monitor vital signs and condition changes, ensuring patient safety
  • Administer medications and assist with wound care and surgical drains
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop patient care plans
  • Document patient progress accurately in Epic EMR system
  • Support patient education related to post-surgical recovery
  • Assist with other medical/surgical patient care as needed within a 32-bed unit
What You NeedRequired:
  • Active KS or Multistate nursing license
  • 1+ years of Medical Surgical experience
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • ADN or BSN degree
Preferred:
  • Step-down or progressive care experience
  • Epic charting experience
  • Flexibility for orientation and shift schedules
