Overview:

The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technicianperforms and interprets analysis on patient specimensusingcomplex laboratory techniques.The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory TechnicianProvides medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

Medical Laboratory Technician

• Education:Associatedegree in a major acceptable to a certification agency for MLT
• Certification/Registration: MLT ASCP or equivalent

OR

Medical Technologist I

• Associate degree with MLTASCPcertification& 3 years clinical experience
• Approved Military Training (if applicable) 

OR

Medical Technologist II

• Education:Bachelor'sdegree

• Certifications:MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent required
