Job Description
Position Summary:The Medication Tech/Caregiver is responsible for the supervision of administering medications to Assisted Living residents, following the guidelines provided by Senior Solutions Management Group and State Regulations. The Caregiver is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living as per their plan of care. This position reports directly to the Wellness Director.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and SSMG guidelines as directed by the Wellness Director.
- Reports any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation tothe Wellness Director.
- Responds quickly to all emergencies.
- Maintains close communication with all departments and staff members.
- Provides educational meetings for residents and staff as requested bySupervisor.
- Understands role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
- Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
- Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention ofaccidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe workingpractices.
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, andco-workers.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures of SSMG.
- Assist residents in Assisted Living with activities of daily living as determined by their individual plan of care.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months
- Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education andexperience.
- Home Health Aid, Personal Care Aid, Private Caregiver
- Must be trainable and available for onsite training, medication training by RN Delegator
- Must be trainable and available for onsite Caregiver training.
- Must be flexible with scheduling and have reliable transportation to and from work for scheduled shifts
- Must have reliable child care for scheduled shifts.
- Position also requires resident care when not assisting with medication administration
