About the role
As a Design Engineer, you'll own user experiences end-to-end, from product decisions to front-end engineering. You'll work directly with customers, influence product direction, and build the interfaces that define how millions of users interact with AI. This isn't a typical design or engineering role. You'll:
Ship full features independently: engineer, build, and iterate based on real user feedback
Work directly with customers: understand their needs deeply and validate solutions with them
Shape product direction: your design and technical insights will directly influence how the product is built and what we roadmap items we prioritize
Build in public: see your work used by users at some of the world's leading AI companies within days
What we're looking for
Strong design sensibility: you have excellent product intuition and can use tools like Figma or vibe-coding platforms to communicate and validate ideas
Solid engineering chops: 3+ years building user-facing products with TypeScript (React/Next.js or similar frameworks)
Customer empathy: you care deeply about understanding user needs and building delightful experiences
High ownership: you want to own problems end-to-end, not just work on tickets
Bonus points for
Open source contributions or public projects that show your craft
Experience building AI products or developer tools
Strong opinions on what makes great product experiences
