75000 - 85000 USD Per Year
Working Location:
Fresno, CA and surrounding cities within Fresno County
Working Hours/Shift:
Monday-Friday 8-5pm. Community based

What you bring to SBHG:
- Master's degree in social work, marriage & family therapy, or psychology from an accredited college or university required.
- One (1) year direct service experience in a mental health setting required (student internship and/or practicum time may be substituted).
- Experience in a community-based therapy setting preferred.
- Mental Health Specialist II: Licensed as AMFT, ACSW, or APCC required.
- Mental Health Specialist III: Licensed as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC required.
How you will make a difference:
- Assumes primary clinical role for youth, adolescents, and families.
- Identifies ongoing treatment needs, and diagnoses, and updates problem list as needed.
- Incorporates Trauma Informed Care (TIC) and Motivational Interviewing into services.
- Facilitates treatment team meetings including ICC and CFT Meetings as needed.
- Provides services in various settings, including homes, schools/work, community, and office settings. Uses personal vehicle to drive to and from offsite locations to provide services. May be required to transport clients and/or family members in a personal vehicle.
- Interviews referred youth and significant others to assess and evaluate their appropriateness and need for services.
- Assists in preparing youth and adults for lasting and successful housing, vocational, educational, and treatment experiences. Services include a "whatever it takes" approach and include counseling, shadowing, training, modeling and other interventions deemed necessary.

In accordance with California law, the grade for this position is 70,304.00 - 98,178.07. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
