Mental Health Occupational Therapist – Full-Time (Portland, OR)
This is a full-time, salaried opportunity designed for an Occupational Therapist who wants to build real depth in adult mental health over time.
At Holistic Community Therapy, we provide structured, community-based and virtual mental health services for adults. Our work involves comprehensive assessment, clinical formulation, and functional treatment of complex mental health presentations within an insurance-based outpatient model.
Mental health remains a small specialty area within OT. This role is best suited to someone who wants to build depth in that part of practice over time.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Mental Health Occupational Therapist at Holistic Community Therapy, you will:
- Deliver adult mental health assessments and occupation-based interventions within a mobile outpatient model (community-based + virtual)
- Develop and implement measurable treatment plans that support functional independence and meaningful outcomes
- Maintain a minimum of 22 completed client sessions per week through proactive scheduling and caseload ownership
- Provide comprehensive assessment and functional mental health treatment within our structured outpatient model
- Connect clients with appropriate community resources to support recovery
- Complete accurate documentation within 24–48 hours
- Participate actively in supervision and ongoing professional development
This is a salaried, full-time position. Clinicians set their schedules and structure their workweek, while meeting established clinical standards.
Location requirements:
- Must reside in the Portland, Oregon area
- Active Oregon OT license required
Required qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in good standing (Oregon)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred. Mature new graduates with prior professional work experience and demonstrated responsibility will be considered
- Current CPR certification
- Clear background check
- Eligible for insurance panel credentialing (we complete this process for you)
CASELOAD & WORKLOAD EXPECTATIONS
- This is a full-time position averaging approximately 36 hours per week.
- Full-time status requires maintaining a minimum of 22 completed client sessions per week. Many clinicians maintain between 22–25 sessions depending on caseload flow.
- Sessions are scheduled for 53 minutes, with a 15-minute documentation standard built into workflow expectations.
- During onboarding, clinicians receive a guaranteed salaried base with structured support as caseload builds.
- Paid team meetings, travel time, standard mileage reimbursement, and collaboration time are included.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salaried position with benefits
- 2 weeks paid vacation leave annually + 2 floating holidays

- $35/month internet stipend
- $200 annual home office stipend

Compensation: $72,000–$84,000 annually, depending on experience and readiness for the role.
While our compensation may differ from larger systems, this role offers something many larger settings do not: close supervision, visible growth, and the chance to build true specialty depth in adult mental health OT.
