Mental Health Professional

We are hiring community-based MST (Multisystemic Therapy) Clinicians/Therapists to provide mental health services in the community for youth and their families following the evidence-based model throughout the different stages of treatment. Services are provided in program participants' homes and are geared towards serving youth who are in need of intensive community-based intervention, are at risk or have a history of out-of-home placement, and/or have community justice involvement.More information about MST can be found here: https://www.mstservices.com/

Job Responsibilities:

• Carry a caseload as assigned.
• Actively participate as part of a therapy team, including attending weekly team and individual supervision meetings.
• Assist families by actively referring them to appropriate services and supports, and with both clinical and concrete services.
• Make case progress notes as required 
• Participate in all training, supervision, and consultation activities.

Preferred Experience:

• Direct use of pragmatic (i.e., structural, strategic, and functional) family therapies
• Individual therapy with youth and adults using cognitive behavioral techniques
• Marital therapy using behaviorally based approaches
• *Behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance
• Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth’s natural ecology that affect or influence the behavior of youth (i.e., family, peer, school, and neighborhood)

Preferred Knowledge: 

• Family systems theory and application
• Social-ecological theory and application
• *Behavioral therapies theory and application
• *Cognitive-behavioral therapy theory and application
• Pragmatic family therapies theory and application
• Child development research and its application in the treatment
• Social skills assessment and intervention
• *Basic counseling and process skills

Candidates MUST be willing and able to:

• Live locally, within 1 hour of the noted territory. 
• Provide therapy inside the family home as a regular part of the position.
• Maintain a flexible, non-traditional schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed, based on the availability of the youth and family.
• Regularly travel throughout the full identified service territory to meet with families and provide services where needed. 

Education Preference: Master’s in social work (MSW), Mental Health Counseling (MHC), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), psychology, counseling, education, or other relevant human service profession preferred; required for site supervisor position.Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with youth and families.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with individuals and families.

Salary range for this educational level is commensurate with credentials held and experience.Non-Licensed Therapist salary range: $51,993 - $57,534Licensed Therapist salary range: $57,234 - $61,757
