Mental Health Worker I (Windham Center) - Per Diem

Description

The Mental Health Worker I will:

• Follow the plan of care as directed by RN.
• Communicate information to the appropriate places.
• Perform safe patient care adhering to Policies and Procedures of Springfield Hospital.
• Take responsibility for maintaining and/or increasing knowledge base in area of practice.
• Assist in the management of the milieu in accordance with the policy and procedures to ensure safety and a therapeutic environment.
• Will lead and co-lead groups as appropriate.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) training (preferred)
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) training (preferred)
• Anger Management skills training (preferred)
• Group leadership skills
• CPR (within 3 months of hire)
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certified (within 3 months of hire)

Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
