Job Description
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
- Provide individual counseling & mentoring, small group interventions, and general programming designed to promote social & emotional learning for Club youth
- Collaborate with Club families, staff & leadership, and community partners to provide trauma-responsive services for all Club Youth
- Provide field supervision to student interns from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work and/or other universities
- Build & maintain partnerships with community agencies, organizations, and stakeholders
INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY:
- Maintain up to date, organized and confidential documentation
- Assist program director with grant management tasks by maintaining accurate and timely reports, outcomes measures, photographs and other data as needed
- Assist in program needs assessments, evaluations, and proposal writing as needed
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Masters of Social Work Degree from an accredited college or university
- One-year experience required; LMSW encouraged
- Commitment & compliance with the NASW Code of Ethics and Values
- Commitment to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley mission & core values
- Ability to work both independently on projects and in a team setting
- Experience working with youth and knowledge of youth development strategies
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support members, families, and staff in crisis or high priority situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
