Job DetailsWhat you will doLead a team of metallurgical engineers and technicians, setting priorities, managing performance, and driving accountabilityDefine and maintain product capabilities, material requirements, and technical specifications across the operationServe as the primary technical resource for product quality, including customer specifications and compliance standardsPartner with production teams to ensure processes and inspection methods consistently meet product requirementsLead new product introduction efforts, including trials, qualification, and production readinessOversee investigation and disposition of non-conforming product, including root cause analysis and corrective actionsWork directly with customers to resolve claims and support technical discussions related to product performanceSupport sourcing and qualification of raw materials and inputs, ensuring they meet required specificationsEstablish and track performance metrics tied to quality, capability, and continuous improvementEnsure adherence to quality systems and participate in internal and external auditsWhat you bringBachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related fieldExperience in manufacturing quality within an industrial environmentPrior leadership experience managing technical teamsStrong understanding of product specifications, process capability, and quality standardsAbility to work cross-functionally with production, sales, and customer-facing teamsNice to haveExtensive experience in metals manufacturing, especially rolled or engineered productsBackground in structured quality systems and auditsStrong data analysis skills and experience using statistical toolsProven experience leading new product development effortsTrack record of managing customer-facing technical issues and claimsKey Work EnvironmentDay-based leadership role with cross-functional responsibilitiesHigh visibility across operations, quality, and commercial teamsRequires occasional travel for customer interactionWhy UsLeadership role with full ownership of product quality and metallurgical standardsDirect impact on customer satisfaction, product performance, and plant capabilityOpportunity to lead team development while shaping technical strategyExposure to both manufacturing operations and customer-facing technical workStable, established manufacturing environment with complex, high-spec productsInterested in hearing more?
