We are currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Charleston office. This position offers flexibility with a hybrid or remote work arrangement.
This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. The successful candidate will have experience supporting litigation matters and managing competing priorities with professionalism and efficiency. Prior law firm or insurance industry experience is preferred.
Qualifications
Four-year degree and/or certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program
1–3 years of litigation paralegal experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Professional demeanor with excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities efficiently
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Review case files, pleadings, and incoming correspondence; calendar and track deadlines
Assist with discovery, including drafting responses, coordinating document production, and following up on outstanding items
Interview clients and witnesses; summarize case facts and discovery responses
Request and review records (medical, SLED, driving, personnel, FOIA, project files)
Conduct approved social media and internet searches
Prepare deposition notices, subpoena, and assist with deposition, mediation, and trial preparation
Prepare medical chronologies and case summaries
Assist with settlement documents and ensure execution and filing
Meet monthly billing expectations
Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff; perform other assigned duties
