Job Description

Assistant Project ManagerOur client is a well-established General Contractor with a strong presence across New York City, specializing in healthcare, education, and institutional construction projects. Known for delivering quality work, maintaining long-term client relationships, and successfully navigating highly regulated environments, they continue to secure repeat business from leading healthcare organizations and public agencies.Job DescriptionAssist Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of healthcare and SCA construction projects. Support the management of project schedules, budgets, and procurement activities. Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, permits, and construction documentation. Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, architects, clients, and field teams. Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and progress reports. Help monitor project costs and maintain accurate financial records. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, SCA requirements, safety standards, and quality control procedures. Conduct site visits and assist with project closeout activities, punch lists, and turnover documentation. Support the project team in identifying and resolving construction-related challenges.The Successful ApplicantA successful Assistant Project Manager should have:2+ years of construction experience in an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar role.Experience working on healthcare, institutional, public-sector, or SCA projects.Strong understanding of construction documentation, scheduling, and project administration.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and other construction management software.Knowledge of NYC construction regulations and public-sector project requirements is highly desirable.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.What's on OfferComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. 401(k) with company contribution.
