Job Description
Title: Microbiologist / QC Microbiology AnalystLocation: Social Circle, GA 30025 Duration: 6+ Months (Possible extension)Position will be for Monday - Friday 2:00PM - 10:30PMKey Responsibilities:
- Perform environmental monitoring and collect samples from manufacturing and controlled areas to assess environmental classification and critical utility integrity.
- Conduct microbiological testing, including endotoxin testing, bioburden analysis, microbial identification, and final product sterility testing.
- Analyze raw materials, in-process samples, process samples, and finished products in accordance with established procedures.
- Operate laboratory instruments and computerized systems, including LIMS, to record, review, and maintain accurate testing data.
- Complete routine and special project testing within established timelines and quality standards.
- Initiate test requests and obtain necessary approvals.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, supplies, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance activities as required.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with company SOPs, FDA regulations, GLP, QSR, and cGMP requirements.
- Perform release activities in LIMS or other computerized systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, and Quality Laboratory Practices (QLP).
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Hands-on experience in pharmaceutical microbiology, including:
- Environmental Monitoring (EM)
- Critical Utility Sampling
- Endotoxin Testing
- Bioburden Testing
- Microbial Identification
- Final Product Sterility Testing
- LIMS usage and documentation
- cGMP/GLP/FDA compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated laboratory environment is preferred.
