Job Description Summary

Under the general direction of Administrative Director of the Laboratory and in conjunction with chief of pathology, is responsible for supervising the daily operation of the Second/Third Shift section of the laboratory. Will participate in committees pertaining to Second/Third Shift. All duties will be performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards and will comply with all criteria mandated by appropriate accrediting and licensing agencies.

Job Description

Minimum Education

• Baccalaureate degree in relevant sciences such as medical technology, biology, or chemistry

Minimum Work Experience

• Minimum five years laboratory experience and one year supervisory experience preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Medical Technologist certification (ASCP or equivalent) preferred
• Specialty registration preferred
