Mid - Security Specialist

Position Title:Mid Security Specialist

Position Overview:

S2Technologies is actively seeking a Mid Security Specialist to provide physical and personnel security services to the Science and Technology Directorate's Office of Space and Counterspace (SCS). Serve as a Senior Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and provide support to the Government Program Security Officer (PSO).  As the CPSO, she/he will provide support for program security and execution of all security policies and requirements for specified SAP programs, compartments, sub-compartments, and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with personnel badging and visitor access requests.
• Review and process access approvals and permissions.
• Update and maintain SAP training records.
• Support compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Train personnel on access control lists and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of physical security documentation.
• Perform physical and personnel security duties in support of SSO/SSR responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with government personnel security databases (e.g., DISS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience training on and working with SAPs (Special Access Programs).
• Experience supporting SCIF accreditations and inspections.
• Experience performing duties as an SSO or SSR in government or contractor roles.
• Experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI

Education: High School Diploma

Salary Range: $75,000 - $135,000

Location: Reston VA 20191
