Louisiana Key Academy, a Baton Rouge charter school for dyslexic students, seeks highly motivated middle school science teacher to train in project-based and evidence-based practices for teaching dyslexic children.

Requirements

Ability to be creative and bring subjects to life through projects, hands on learning, demonstrations, and critical thinking activities
Evidence of a growth mindset for student potential and academic growth
A strong desire to receive rigorous, ongoing professional training to deeply understand dyslexia and the effect of dyslexia on academic life
An open-minded attitude toward academic instruction, including a willingness to "work outside the box" of traditional instructional methods
A willingness to receive and implement feedback regarding instructional practices
Evidence of strong classroom management and organizational skills
