Job Description
- Instruction and Curriculum Development: Create and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the diverse learning needs of students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies.
- Individualized Instruction: Provide targeted support to students with varying abilities, ensuring each student can achieve their full potential.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive classroom environment, using effective behavior management strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with school administration, special education staff, and Teacher Aides to develop and execute comprehensive academic support plans.
- Student Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and adjust instruction based on student progress, maintaining accurate records of attendance, grades, and reports.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay updated with the latest educational strategies.

- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (REQUIRED).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years+ of teaching experience (REQUIRED).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years+ in special education (Preferred).
- Certification: Valid Florida Teaching License and Certification (REQUIRED).
- Skills: Strong classroom management and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Personal Attributes: Compassionate, patient, and committed to helping students achieve independence.
- Additional Requirements: Must have a current and valid driver's license, be able to pass a Level 2 Background Clearance, and provide proof of degrees and/or certifications.
Our non-Denominational Christian Private School is set on a wooded horse ranch, and we focus on students with Autism and other learning disabilities. We use innovative teaching and classroom management techniques which include the Teaching Family Model and horse interaction as part of the academic experience.Classrooms consist of 1 Lead Teacher, 1-2 Teaching Assistants and a maximum of 15 students. The Elementary classroom has a 5:1 Student to Instructor ratio and our Middle and High School Classroom has a max of 8:1 Student to Instructor ratio.
