Position Summary:
Pillsbury is seeking a 3rd – 5th year associate to join the Sacramento Wine, Beer & Spirits Law Group in the Litigation Global Business Unit. This associate will be primarily supporting the WBS Law group in connection with state and federal alcohol beverage law and regulatory matters.
This new associate will integrate into existing and new WBS Law matters where responsibilities will include working with other associates and partners (in Sacramento and other Pillsbury offices), supporting and managing large multi-state projects, evaluating tied house, trade practice, ownership and licensing considerations, handling all aspects of administrative actions and developing and maintaining strong business and client relationships. Although most of the work will be in the WBS and related industries (including cannabis, hemp and tobacco), the new associate will have opportunities to work on general commercial litigation matters, among others. Direct experience in, or demonstrated interest in learning about, these industries is expected. The ideal candidate will be based in Sacramento.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate is required to have a bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctorate degree (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school with excellent academics and be a member of the California State Bar in good standing. Previous or current employment with an Am Law 100 firm is desired.

California Pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skillset and experience, is $260,000 - $365,000.
