You'll work closely with your team to support production goals and uphold safety standards on the shop floor, contributing to quality craftsmanship in every project.What You’ll Do As a Welder Fitter, you will be responsible for:

• Fitting and assembling structural frameworks and housings according to blueprints, using welding equipment effectively.*
• Interpreting blueprints and material lists to accurately identify and gather parts needed for each project.*
• Laying out parts on the worktable with squares, chalk lines, and soapstone to ensure precise cuts and placements.*
• Tack-welding metal components to create accurate assembly outlines and jigs, promoting consistency.*
• Positioning parts in jigs and shaping them with files, chisels, and grinders for a perfect fit.*
• Heating parts with acetylene torches to bend and shape as required, following strict safety protocols.*
• Tack-welding assembled parts and verifying dimensions against blueprints with squares, rules, and calipers to ensure quality and accuracy.*
• Optionally annealing parts to relieve welding stress and completing assemblies with acetylene torches and brazing rods.

What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.*
• At least 1 year of relevant welding and fitting experience.*
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex specifications.*
• Physical stamina, dexterity, and safety consciousness to perform welding and fitting tasks effectively.*
• Experience with MIG welding on steel plates, pipes, and tubes is preferred.*
• Open root TIG welding experience is a plus.*
• Prior experience fitting metal components is advantageous.
