Job Description
MIG/TIG Welder/Fabricator 1st ShiftLocation: Central City, NEPay: Starting at $20.00/hour (DOE)Shift: 1st ShiftAre you an experienced welder who takes pride in quality craftsmanship? We're looking for a MIG/TIG Welder/Fabricator to join a growing team in Central City, NE. In this hands-on role, you'll fabricate, fit, weld and assemble structural steel, piping systems, pressure vessels, process skids and other custom metal components while working from engineering drawings and customer specifications.If you have strong welding skills, enjoy working in a fast-paced fabrication environment and are committed to producing high-quality work, we'd like to hear from you.What You'll Do
- Perform MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Flux Core (FCAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding
- Fabricate, fit and weld metal assemblies according to blueprints and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols and fabrication drawings
- Prepare materials using oxy-fuel and plasma cutting equipment
- Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, drills, saws and other shop tools
- Verify measurements and maintain quality standards throughout production
- Assist with assembly, testing and finishing of fabricated products
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment
- Complete production documentation and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
- Previous MIG and/or TIG welding experience required
- Ability to pass welding tests
- Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings and weld symbols
- Experience using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
- ASME pipe welding
- Structural steel or pressure vessel fabrication
- GTAW 6G welding
- Current welding certifications
- Forklift experience
- Lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Stand, bend, kneel and work in a fabrication shop throughout the shift
- Work in an environment with heat, noise, dust and welding fumes while wearing required PPE
