Mig Welder-1St Shift

Pro Resources is hiring at Tru-Flex in west Lebanon Indiana. We are looking for a skilled Welder to cut and join metals and other materials. Print reading and fabrication will be required.   You will operate appropriate equipment to put together manufactured parts with a great deal of precision.   Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety. Works in conjunction with other crews and lead persons.   Responsible for the quality of your output to meet customer requirements.  

Essential Functions:

Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures

Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on drawing requirements

Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material to match measurements, size material to proper diameter, etc.)

Operate appropriate tools to prepare parts that must be welded

Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces or fixtures

Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)

Repair assemblies and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps

Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws

Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Participate in 6S activities daily

Participate in TFOS initiatives

Requirements:

Professional Certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) is preferred

Proficiency in MIG welding is required; both MIG and TIG preferred.

Experience in using electrical, pneumatic, or manual tools (swagers, squares, calipers etc.)

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

Ability to accurately enter production data into Epicor

Willingness and ability to learn and implement Operational Excellence and TFOS principles

Willingness and ability to perform in other areas of production as needed

Proficient in English

Physical Summary:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, hear, grasp, reach with hand/arms, use hands including repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement; occasionally required to push/pull, walk and operate mechanical equipment; and rarely required to talk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs or balance. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds using team lifting. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Hearing capacity required to maximize ability to understand all verbal communication and react accordingly. Basic PPE (safety glasses and safety shoes) are required.
