Hours: Monday – Thursday, 4 PM – 3 AM Start Date: ASAP Looking for a hands-on, physically active role with a reputable, family-run mill? Join a well-known mill in Roseburg, Oregon, as a Mill Laborer, where you’ll be part of a dedicated production team and play a vital role in daily mill operations. As a Mill Laborer, you’ll support production flow, material handling, and quality control in a fast-paced sawmill environment. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and being on their feet throughout the day. As a Mill Laborer, you will be responsible for:
  • Monitoring production lines to ensure boards are aligned and uncrossed for safe operation.
  • Moving materials, including transferring sticks from baskets to designated locations efficiently.
  • Identifying and separating broken or damaged wood from usable materials during the edger picking process.
  • Assisting with overall mill operations to maintain productivity and safety standards.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A high energy level and a strong work ethic.
  • A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work well with others.
  • The ability to consistently lift and maneuver 50+ lbs.
  • Reliability and punctuality as key attributes.
