Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Foreman will oversee daily production, supervise production staff, ensure quality and safety standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages production employees.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations.
Ensures efficient operations.
Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
Troubleshoot issues that arise.
Notify the maintenance department of equipment problems.
Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Thorough understanding or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical skills with ability to understand manufacturing.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and team oriented.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them with appropriate.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or at least 5 years work-related experience.
Union experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
