Job Description
TradeWorX is hiring experienced Millwrights for a high-urgency plant outage assignment in the Chicago, IL area. This opportunity is built for industrial millwrights, maintenance mechanics, and mechanically strong tradespeople with plant, shutdown, outage, equipment installation, repair, and industrial jobsite experience.

Pay & Overtime:
- Pay: Up to $32.00/hour based on verified millwright, industrial maintenance, plant outage, and mechanical experience
- Overtime: Overtime-heavy opportunity based on outage schedule and project needs
- Travel: Must be willing to travel for an out-of-town plant outage assignment
- Start: Immediate consideration for qualified millwrights who are ready to work
Schedule:
- Plant outage schedule
- Overtime-heavy hours expected
- Weekend work may be required based on outage needs
- Project hours may vary based on production and site requirements
Job Duties:
- Perform industrial millwright work during a plant outage
- Assist with equipment installation, removal, repair, rebuilds, and mechanical maintenance
- Work on conveyors, motors, pumps, bearings, shafts, guards, supports, and related industrial components
- Use hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, lifts, and PPE safely
- Follow jobsite direction, safety procedures, and outage schedule requirements
- Support cleanup, staging, material handling, and production-focused work areas
Requirements:
- Millwright, industrial maintenance, plant outage, shutdown, or mechanical equipment experience preferred
- Ability to work overtime-heavy outage schedules
- Must be willing to travel for the assignment
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance required
- Basic millwright tools and PPE preferred
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in an active industrial plant environment
Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced Millwright or Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
- Comfortable with plant outage, shutdown, or industrial project work
- Able to work long hours and overtime-heavy schedules
- Mechanically strong, safety-focused, and dependable
