Job Description
- Design, develop, test, and deploy interfaces using Mirth Connect.
- Build and maintain HL7 v2.x, FHIR, and X12 interfaces.
- Develop channel scripts using JavaScript within Mirth.
- Configure communication protocols (MLLP, TCP/IP, SFTP, REST, SOAP, HTTPS).
- Troubleshoot message errors, transformation issues, and connectivity failures.
- Perform interface testing, validation, and performance tuning.
- Monitor production interfaces and provide on-call support as needed.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and interface specifications.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and secure handling of PHI.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Public Trust clearance. Due to contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (green card holders) to be eligible.
- 5+ years of experience developing interfaces using Mirth Connect.
- Strong knowledge of HL7 v2.x messaging standards.
- Experience with FHIR APIs and RESTful web services.
- Proficiency in JavaScript for channel scripting and message transformations.
- Experience working with SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience working with the Centers for Disease Control environment and standards: SDLC, technical architecture, release processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- $70,000-$90,000
- Salary commensurate with experience.
