Job Description
As a Mitigation Manager, you will lead response teams in restoring properties after disasters such as water, fire, or storm damage. This role involves overseeing projects in the field, coordinating crews, managing budgets, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. You will work closely with homeowners, business owners, subcontractors, and internal teams while maintaining a high level of customer service. This position also includes managing schedules, workloads, and resources to ensure projects run efficiently and meet expectations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of mitigation technicians, providing training, support, and performance oversight
- Ensure all work (e.g., water mitigation, mold remediation, board-up, pack-outs, and cleaning) meets company and industry standards
- Monitor job sites to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with company policies and regulations
- Train technicians on proper procedures, equipment use, PPE, and customer service best practices
- Maintain clear, professional communication with customers and team members
- Ensure crews, equipment, and vehicles are ready to respond quickly to emergency situations
- Conduct regular meetings, goal setting, and performance reviews to support team development
- Promote a culture of professionalism, integrity, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 4 - 7 years mitigation experience REQUIRED
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment, especially in fast-paced or high-stress situations
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong time management and the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and adapt
- Positive attitude and ability to work well on a team
- Ability to supervise, support, and work effectively with employees, vendors, and the public
- Willingness to learn and follow company procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Physical Requirements
- Lift (constantly) 5-40 lbs., lift (frequently) 20-100 lbs.
- Ability to move between job sites and perform daily tasks
- Capable of standing or sitting for extended periods
- Able to use hands and fingers for repetitive tasks (e.g., typing, tools)
- Maintain attention to detail and accuracy in all work
