Job Description

Mixer/Operator$18.50/hr + DOE + Shift DifferentialDay & Night Shifts Available: 6:00am–6:00pm or 6:00pm–6:00am

We are hiring immediately for a Mixer/Operator in Sheldon, IA! This hands-on role in a feed production facility is ideal for a hardworking, team-oriented individual with strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:• Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products• Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently while assuring accuracy and high quality• Operate bagger, sewing machine, forklift, and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently• Follow warehouse and loading protocols• Ensure quality assurance standards are met for ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging• Record and document all feed manufactured during shift• Assist with production scheduling, inventory planning, and inventory control• Assist with equipment maintenance and minor repairs as needed• Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies and procedures• Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned

Requirements:• High school diploma or GED• 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred• Farming background a plus• Mechanical aptitude preferred• Basic computer knowledge• Good communication, verbal, written, and math skills• Ability to work effectively as a team member• Thorough understanding of cGMPs preferred• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMA preferred• Ability to operate a forklift• Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
