Description

Bring your municipal water expertise to a team that delivers high-quality planning and engineering work across the western U.S., with an immediate need in the Reno, NV area. In this Water Modeling/Utility Planning Civil Engineer opportunity, you’ll support water and wastewater utilities through advanced hydraulic modeling, utility planning, and client-focused project leadership.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Water Modeling/Utility Planning Civil Engineer position include:

  • PE license with 10+ years of civil engineering experience
  • Proven water modeling and utility planning experience for municipal water and wastewater systems
  • Experience managing projects and clients, including leading small teams
  • Strong technical report writing, including preliminary and final report development
  • Ability to develop hydraulic models and perform utility planning studies (rate studies and CIPs)
  • Experience with at least one required hydraulic modeling platform: Innovyze (InfoWater/InfoWorks) or Bentley WaterGEMS
  • Oversee technical work and coordinate project schedules and deliverables
  • Primarily office-based work with occasional site visits and oversight of flow testing performed by utility operators

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Benefits: Benefits include approximately 95% employee medical coverage (family coverage available) or a monthly incentive if you are covered under a spouse’s plan, plus 401(k) with a company contribution structure (including a match equal to 20% of the employee’s contribution up to plan limits), tuition reimbursement, relocation assistance, and two time-off programs (PTO plus administrative leave). PTO can be negotiated based on experience.
