Moderate Special Education Teacher (High School)
Position: Full-Time – Specialized Reading ServicesSchool Year: 2026–2027Location: Braintree, MA 02184Caseload: 30–38 Students
We are seeking a Moderate Special Education Teacher with expertise in structured literacy to provide specialized reading services at the high school level. This role requires advanced training in the Orton-Gillingham approach to support students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive environment.Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group reading instruction using Orton-Gillingham methods.
- Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts teaching license in Moderate Special Education.
- Orton-Gillingham Credential (completion of both 1-year training and 1-year practicum).
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience supporting high school students with reading challenges.
Compensation: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
