Description:
PuroClean of Marysville is hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Mold Remediation Technician to join our restoration team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in mold remediation procedures and safety protocols, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively under pressure. IICRC certification in Applied Microbial Remediation (AMRT) or equivalent is preferred, but not required to apply.
As a Mold Technician, you'll play a key role in safely removing mold-contaminated materials, setting up containment, and restoring affected areas in residential and commercial environments.
Responsibilities:
Perform mold inspections, containment setup, and remediation following industry standards
Remove affected building materials and clean/sanitize exposed surfaces
Operate and monitor equipment such as air scrubbers, negative air machines, and dehumidifiers
Maintain proper documentation including photos, logs, and remediation notes
Follow safety guidelines including PPE usage, HEPA vacuuming, and controlled demolition practices
Communicate with clients professionally and respectfully on-site
Collaborate with team members and report progress to project leads or supervisors
Requirements:
1+ year of hands-on experience in mold remediation or related restoration work
Strong understanding of containment setup, moisture control, and proper disposal procedures
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined, high-humidity, or dusty environments
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening
Must provide black protective toe work boots and black or dark-colored work pants
Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and safety awareness
Preferred Qualifications:
IICRC AMRT certification (or willingness to obtain)
Additional certifications such as WRT or OSHA 10/30
Familiarity with moisture meters, hygrometers, and restoration software (e.g., DASH)
