Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Ensure and monitor the general safety of the building and property. Do routine rounds of the facility and monitor for safety concerns. Practice de-escalation and conflict resolution amongst clients and visitors. Able to conduct appropriate outreach to any safety resources and emergency services.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalency. Experience in related field preferred.
Candidate should have strong de-escalation and crisis intervention skills
Bilingualism/multilingualism individuals encouraged to apply
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patrol and monitor the premises to discourage illegal activity, reporting activities witnessed to the proper personnel and/or authorities.
Enforce parking and smoking policies
Escorting employees to their vehicles when necessary
Review or monitor surveillance cameras or previous camera footage and report as required
Report to management team on any incidents that have occurred throughout the day, assisting with completing incident reports when necessary
Use provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner
Attend staffings as needed to ensure up-to-date information on any possible safety issues that arise
Network with security counterparts at adjacent organizations (Prep school, Citizen’s Bank, 181 Cumberland St) to relay and share information as needed
Participate in safety meetings and maintain a copy of the building
