Job Posting: Mortgage Banking Litigation Attorney

Location: Hybrid Job Type: Full-TimePractice Area: Mortgage Banking / Consumer Finance Litigation

Position Overview Our client is seeking a Mortgage Banking Litigation Attorney to handle consumer finance and real property litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated mortgage banking litigation while advising clients on regulatory and compliance issues. The ideal candidate is a strong legal writer with a solid command of civil procedure and a desire to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Willing to train someone wanting to switch practice areas! 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent mortgage lenders, servicers, and financial institutions in consumer finance and real property litigation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Manage cases through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and court appearances.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on litigation and regulatory matters.
  • Advise clients on mortgage banking, regulatory compliance, and licensing issues as applicable.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction.
  • Experience in civil litigation defense
  • Mortgage banking, title insurance, regulatory compliance, and licensing experience is a plus.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong command of civil procedure and litigation strategy.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
